The MASM offers an array of educational programs and sporting activities consistent with our mission. All are invited to participate and preregistration will be appreciated for all events. Please visit our Facebook page for details on special events, dates, times and meeting places.

May 19, Talk on “The Allagash-New England’s Wild and Scenic River”

Join us for a talk on the “The Allagash-New England’s Wild and Scenic River” narrated by author and humorist Tim Caverly.

Now Showing Vintage Photos from the Maine Atlantic Salmon Museum

Now Showing Vintage Photos from the Maine Atlantic Salmon Museum at the Fields Pond Nature Center in Holden. The collection features early angling techniques like harling, as well as emphasizing the contributions of women in salmon fishing.

July 15, Spey Casting Instruction

Time: 9AM-1PM
Place: Penobscot Salmon Club
Instructor: Richard Ostrowski, a certified two-handed (Spey) casting Instructor. Richard is the first person in Maine to be certified by the International Federation of Fly Fishers. He runs the Maine Spey Casting School.
Fee: $60.00/ person for members and $70.00 for non members. Includes light breakfast and beverages.
